Thanksgiving

My brother Jesse, his wife Tiffany, and nephew Emerson joined us on Thanksgiving. Emerson was born the day after Thanksgiving so we had a little celebration for him too.

Tom, Hannah, and I all did the Austin Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. It was 5 miles and a long walk for Daddy and Hannah who aren't use to such long distance on foot. But they both did great. I'm so glad we get to continue this tradition as a family.  This was my 5th year to do the Turkey Trot and I hope we continue to do it every year. I don't feel nearly as guilty guzzling down 3 days worth of food that afternoon after a good walk or run that morning.

The route for the 5 mile race changes every year.  This year we litterally ran on the access road of Mopac. We headed south and got a great view of Austin. This is why we love living in Texas- BEAUTIFUL!

Hannah and Emerson play so well together.  Though Emerson didn't quite understand Hannah's grouch hour right before bead.  All babies are grouchy at one time or another, Hannah's is just right on schedule from 6:30-7:30 pm.  Emerson was a great sport and enjoyed sharing all of Hannah's toys. He's already walking so when he was tired of her he could just get up and walk away.
